Time Square

Time Square, competed in 2020 and is a transformative £142M mixed-use development that has revitalised Warrington Town Centre. This vibrant hub offers a great place for families, professionals, students and visitors.
 
Anchored by the award-winning Warrington Market, Time Square hosts prominent leisure operators such as Gravity, Cineworld, and The Botanist, alongside local favourites like Costello’s Bar and Parlour restaurant. The development also includes Grade-A office spaces and a University of Chester campus, positioning Time Square as a central hub in the town.
 
Despite its diverse offerings, Time Square faced challenges in unifying its identity and effectively engaging with stakeholders, retailers, and the broader community. The existing digital platforms were developer-focused, lacking a consumer-oriented approach to showcase the mixed-use nature of the estate. Additionally, there was a need for a structured events programme to enhance footfall and community involvement.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaboration: Solid Ground facilitated seamless communication between Warrington Borough Council, Knight Frank (estate management), Warrington Market, and Warrington Business Improvement District (BID). This collaborative approach ensured alignment of objectives and fostered a cohesive strategy for Time Square’s revitalisation.

 

Regular Meetings: By organising consistent meetings and updates, Solid Ground maintained transparency and encouraged active participation from all stakeholders, leading to unified decision-making.

Retailer Engagement:

Building Relationships: Solid Ground established strong connections with retailers within Time Square, understanding their needs and challenges, hosting regular meet-ups.

 

Promotional Support: Assisted retailers in creating and promoting offers, events, and new product launches, thereby driving increased customer engagement and sales.

Digital Marketing:

Website Revamp: Transitioned the existing developer-centric website into a vibrant, consumer-facing platform that highlights Time Square’s mixed-use environment, including retail, leisure, and office spaces.

 

Social Media Initiatives: Launched dedicated social media channels to actively promote estate-wide activities, events, and retailer highlights, fostering a sense of community and attracting a broader audience.

 

Newsletter Creation: Developed a regular newsletter featuring exclusive offers, upcoming events, and news from retailers and the market, enhancing communication with patrons and keeping the community informed.

Venue Management:

Inclusive & Engaging Events:  Designed an annual calendar of events focusing on culture, community, and wellbeing to appeal to a wide and inclusive audience.

 

Policy & Procedures: Created comprehensive guidelines outlining processes to ensure events are conducted safely and in accordance with site-specific requirements, facilitating smooth collaborations with event organisers.
